Pierre Berton (Montan)

Pierre Berton, (NOT the Canadian writer) born Pierre François Samuel Montan on 6 March 1842 in Paris, came from a family deeply rooted in the arts. Initially an actor in Parisian theatres, he found success both on stage and as a playwright. His career spanned over three decades, where he balanced his roles as an author and performer.
