In the end, Auntie Nelda is so disturbed by all the noise that Ernest and his guests are making, she calls the cops and has Ernest arrested and jailed for disturbing the peace.

Afterwards, Vern wants the money Ernest made running his pet day center to reimburse him for the dog he bought him but Ernest tells Vern he made the money for himself the whole time.
