Mar 19, 198443mYEUNG returns from overseas studying in France, the YEUNG's family is happily preparing for his coming back. To everybody's surprise, YEUNG bring back a stylish young lady with him. To SUI FONG's further unacceptance, YEUNG decides to divorce her. With a broken heart, SUI FONG leaves her 4 years old daughter to jump into a nearby river for committing suicide.

Mar 20, 198442mIt seems to be determined by fate, SUI FONG is saved by a fisherman and she is sent to Shanghai where she eventually is taken care by a social butterfly of Shanghai, LU LU. Since then, she stays in Shanghai with LULU as her servant. 12 years later, YEUNG meets SUI FONG again as he attends LU LU's banquet in Shanghai. SUI FONG is glad to know her separated daughter is living well in the hometown.
