Nov 7, 1969Bert and Rufus sign up to be volunteer fireman. Rufus makes it in but Bert does not. Rufus becomes involved with his fire safety that he over does it. He checks the diner for violations that will cost a lot of money to fix. Bert comes up with a plan to get him off of the fire station.

Nov 21, 1969A famous restaurant critic named Lili Resphighi moves in on the beach. Bert and Rufus mess up every time they see her. They go to her house to charm her into coming back to the restaurant for a good review.
