She dismisses it with a laugh. In reality, LUI’s marriage is at the verge of breaking up because LUI and her husband FAN are mutually suspicious of each other. Under increasing pressure from his secretary - mistress to obtain a divorce, FAN vents his frustration on his wife until she leaves home in despair.

FONG needs the money desperately and follows FAN to his mistress place. A fierce argument ensues and FAN is seriously wounded.
