T.J. learns a hard lesson about office politics while taking part in a work-study program that lands him in a lofty position at an electronic company. Floyd lays down the law when he feels that T.J. is spending too much time at work and not enough time with the family.

To discourage a tireless suitor, Yvette agrees to T.J.'s plan and pretends to be Mo's girlfriend. Meanwhile, Floyd aims to teach Marcus a life lesson he won't soon forget.

T.J. ghostwrites love letters for Marcus to Nina, the new girl in their literature class - and winds up having to ghostwrite love letters for Nina to Marcus, and vice versa.

TJ's skill in chess gives him the chance to play against a computer, Socrates, that's supposed to be unbeatable in chess. Marcus plans to win big on money bets.

Floyd, T.J. and Marcus build Yvette her own private bathroom, but she is less than thrilled. Meanwhile, T.J. and Mo must work out a family budget for their Life Science class.

T.J. thinks his dad's business would benefit from a TV commercial, but when the station airs it at 3:00am, T.J. sneaks in and repositions it - during the Super Bowl.
