Jan 14, 1962Walter Allan gets a call from the husband of his cousin that he has been robbed. He and John Hunter to go and help and find the man strangled. The police have been given the name Ralph Nixon but he has vanished.

Jan 21, 1962Joy Allington is nearly killed on a skiing holiday in Switzerland. She sends a letter to Walter Allen telling him that her husband was trying to kill her. As the couple have accident insurance he sends Hunter to investigate.

Jan 27, 1962Champion steeplechase horse 'The Mighty Warrior' falls and dies during a race costing Eastern Insurance £20,000. Hunter is sent to investigate Jefford and O'Shea stables and discovers that trainer Betty Fuller vanished after the race.
