He joins forces with the pioneering Global Leopard Project, which aims to promote understanding about these majestic creatures, and attempts to snare a dominant local male with the project's help. S1E2Bears in the British Columbia

He goes on the trail of the extremely rare white spirit bear along Canada's beautiful Northwest Pacific coast. Starting his search in the remote Mussel Inlet, he encounters grizzly bears feeding on salmon prior to hibernation. Realising that aggressive grizzly bears guard the best feeding spots, he moves to a smaller inlet where he believes evidence of black bears - which share a similar habitat to the spirit bear - will lead him to his quarry.
S1E3Wolves in Central Idaho

In this episode, he visits the magnificent Sawtooth mountain region of Central Idaho, which is a prime habitat for the notoriously secretive wolf. Ray tracks a large pack of these incredible predators, but he has only ten days before wolves are taken off the state's endangered species list and become prey to be hunted by humans.
