When Harry comes home and Mark calls round after another row with his parents, the three stay awake into the early hours, with Mark worried about his parents' plans to emigrate and Harry concerned about Clare's refusal to move in with him. John smashes up the noisy car while Harry and Mark both dream of Clare declaring her love for them, forcing them both to make big decisions about their futures in the cold light of day.
