    Professor Noel Fitzpatrick and his team's first patient is a West Highland terrier puppy that has a problem with its paws. Two new bionic feet later, and the poorly dog has a new lease of life. A young husky collie is also brought in after being hit by a car, only for the hip replacement operation to run into trouble, and a lazy dachshund requires double surgery and lots of physiotherapy.

    Pioneering veterinary surgeon Noel Fitzpatrick gets to work on more animals in need of his help. A puppy is rushed into the surgery after being hit by a car, leading to a series of operations including a skin graft in which the dog's leg is sewn into her stomach. A Great Dane requires high-risk surgery after being diagnosed with a cancerous tumour in its leg, and a Chihuahua has shattered the bones in its paw falling down the stairs while chasing a cat. Can the professor help?

The pioneering vets also treat a cocker spaniel with a bulging disc in its spine and a basset hound that needs its leg straightening.
